You’ll receive a confirmation email with appointment details and a secure link to complete consent and intake forms through a HIPAA-compliant portal. These forms gather essential information about your health, childbirth, and breastfeeding goals. Submitting them in advance allows me to personalize our session to best meet your needs.
Before our visit, feed your baby a short feed to keep them comfortable, prepare your questions, and gather any breastfeeding tools.
During the visit, we’ll review your health and baby’s history, observe a feeding to assess latch and milk transfer (with optional weighted feeds), and address your concerns while creating a personalized care plan. We’ll also discuss next steps and how to stay connected for ongoing support
After our visit, you’ll receive a detailed breastfeeding plan within 24 hours, and I can share a summary with your pediatrician upon request. You’ll also have two weeks of free text and email support to address any questions or updates. If needed, we can schedule follow-up visits to reassess or adjust techniques. I’m here to provide ongoing guidance and support throughout your breastfeeding journey.
I am self-pay only, with payment due at booking. Many Massachusetts insurance companies reimburse lactation services under the ACA, even out-of-network. I’ll provide a superbill with all necessary codes for submission, but please confirm coverage with your provider. A sliding scale is available for low-income families and MassHealth. For urgent appointments, text me at 781-539-7846, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
I offer free rescheduling if notified within 12 hours of booking. Payment is required before the visit, and cancellations or no-shows without notice will result in a 50% cancellation fee. Please note, no refunds are provided.
I highly encourage your partner, or a family member to join the lactation visit. My practice emphasizes cultural sensitivity, inclusivity for LGBTQIA+ families, and advocacy for minorities and BIPOC communities. As an immigrant and woman of color, I bring a unique perspective to addressing health disparities.
